It shows what dictation is doing: a live waveform while you speak, then the wait, then the result. Five positions, including the vertical edges of the screen.
Snooze it from fifteen minutes to four hours, or switch it off entirely — dictation keeps working either way. Recording, results and errors still appear, because a tool that goes silent when something fails is worse than one you can see.
Right-click it for your language, your microphone, your history and Settings, without opening a window.
