A compact bar appears with your selection already in it, ready to edit before you act. Three things are one keypress away: save it to Super Memory, add it to your dictionary, or turn it into a Snip.
Your selected text is never changed, and your clipboard is always put back the way you left it — including the image or formatted text you had in there.
It works whether or not the strip is showing, and it records no audio. This one reads what you already selected.
